Easter is the holiday that we celebrate the life of Jesus Christ, including His birth, death and resurrection. Throughout His life, He is called many names. However, what are these names?
Isaiah 9:6 says:
“For us a child is born, to us a son is given’ and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting father, Prince of Peace.”
Jesus is the Wonderful Counselor. He will judge those who follow him and those who do not. This can be found in the book of Revelation. Jesus is the Mighty God. He is strong enough to make miracles for others. For example, He made the blind man see by putting mud on his eyes and when Jesus rose Lazarus from the dead. Jesus is the Everlasting Father. He cannot be killed, making Him longlasting. Jesus can also grant people to be raised from the dead. After His crucifixion, he rose after three days and went back to heaven alive. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Once He judges those on Earth, there will be peace for all who go to Christ.
Other than these names, Jesus is also called the Son of Man and the Son of God. Luke 1:30-33 talks about how the Virgin Mary would give birth to a child that has power of all, making Him the Son of God. This is an example of being the Son of Man and the Son of God.
Overall there are many names in the bible that describe Jesus in many ways. You actually cannot describe Him other than Him being perfect or everlasting. Jesus is an example toball and we should follow in His ways.
