Jesus died for our sins. As Christians, most of us already know this and through his death, God showed us how much he loved us. The good deeds that Jesus did throughout his lifetime was always for a greater purpose and to show others that God works through people and especially through Jesus. We need to follow His good deeds and the way He lived and aspire to be more like him.
Although some people think that Jesus only did good deeds because he was the Son of God, which is partly why but He wanted to be an example to all people for the better and sake of the human kind. In Acts 1:6-8 it says ,”So when they met together, they asked him, “Lord are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” Jesus then replied and “He said to them “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Jesus is saying here that we aren’t supposed to worry about when, why or how things are going to be but to trust and rely on the Lord that all things will work out well. We just need to be obedient towards him and follow His good deeds to be much more like He was.
In Colossians 3:17 it also says “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Every action that you do affects everything and if we act the way that Jesus did, it will result positively and make our lives so much better.
