The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead

Have you ever heard The Walking Dead? It is the second-favourite American TV show in China. Of course the favourite is the Big Bang Theory. Although the scenes from The Walking Dead  are sanguinary and thrilling, full of zombies, it is a thoughtful and profound TV show.

Kelly Xie, a senior at RCS who supposed to be studying hard for her SAT test and working on her college application, told me she is totally distracted by this TV show. She even stayed up till four in the morning just to watch more episodes.

“I just can’t stop!” she said, “It always has one suspenseful scene in the last part of every episode. So the only thing you can do,” she tells me, “is keeping watching ‘till next episode. It makes you addicted and sleepless. I feel it turns me into one of the walking dead. Not only because of all the exhilarating and terrifying scenes, but it also shows the humanity of people in desperate situations.”

Everyone needs to release stress especially during such a hard time period but it has to be limited, or you will turn yourself into a walking dead.
