Many students in our school are using Instagram for posting their pictures. It is the most popular picture-sharing application on the App Store. This article will explain why Instagram is so popular and how Instagram works.
Facebook bought Instagram for 1 billion dollars on April 2012.
Instagram is an online photo-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures, apply digital filters to them, and share them on a variety of social networking services, such as media sites including Facebook or Twitter. A distinctive feature is that it confines photos to a square shape, similar to Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid images, in contrast to the 4:3 aspect ratio typically used by mobile device cameras. Many popular celebrities are using Instagram including LeBron James, Justin Beiber, and Taylor Swift. Users can immediately get the news, very similar to Facebook and Twitter. The countenance of Instagram is better than Facebook and Twitter. Instagram is more classic and stylish. People can socialize with each other on Instagram, and they can report the latest news through pictures. Instagram also brings people from all over the world together. When it’s hard to communicate in words, sometimes photos make the task easier, especially when you’re bumping up against Twitter character limitations or struggling with self-consciousness as you attempt to express yourself fully on Facebook, where strangers and everyone on your friends list can see what you post.
